We have just learned that a new immigration executive order is imminent and will be signed as early as the week of February 20, 2017.
Since President Trump took office January 2017, there has been quite a bit of talk in the news about immigration. Many immigrants in this country are fearful but alert about upcoming new laws, policies, procedures, executive orders will be passed in the United States. We are unsure how this new immigration executive order will affect current immigrants, or the type of information that will be contained in the order.
The appeals Court currently considering the executive order is holding off on further action pending this new executive order. No doubt that this executive order would have been analyzed by many lawyers to try and avoid the numerous amounts of litigation that ensued by the previous executive travel ban order.
Whether it be a wall, or deportation force many rumors are circulating. The associated press recently reported that the Trump administration is considering mobilizing as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants within the United States, which the White house denied.
